Freaks – A circus’ beautiful trapeze artist agrees to marry the leader of side-show performers, but his deformed friends discover she is only marrying him for his inheritance.
A classic circus behind-the-scenes drama from 1932 was suggested by our good friend Jeff the Midget (Black Caverns) who says “It is awesome and also my favorite movie of all time!”. It’s a movie we’ve each seen before, but never with the idea of giving it an in-depth review after a few strong beers. To be clear though, this is not a circus movie, but a 1932 reality show of what happens when a normal tries to take advantage of a freak. It’s black & white and just over an hour, so go watch it, then come back and listen to us talk about it.
