We decided to do more of a synopsis of this movie as opposed to our normal spoilage since it’s such a new release. The overall theme is that it’s a very well put together infomercial for the new Snoop Lion album with the same name.

I’m enjoying the new album a lot and decided to do a little track by track review.

New Belgium Shift Pale Lager

Death Race 2000 – In a dystopian future, a cross country automobile race requires contestants to run down innocent pedestrians to gain points that are tallied based on each kills brutality.

I’m surprised I never saw this movie before and didn’t even realize a young Sly Stallone played such a big part. Super cheesy effects as our crew drives across the country in what look to be hopped up go carts, racing to the finish, killing people and scoring points along the way.

If it wasn’t for all the titties and near porno action, there’s no way I could have sat through two hours of this wandering movie. Even after 2 hours it really didn’t make a whole lot of sense. We start out with some pretty serious screwing and get to see Betty’s boobs and Zorgs junk throughout the flick. They go on some adventures but it all revolves around Betty going more and more nuts, until the end when we find out that Zorg is more nutty then we thought.

That Beadgirl joins us in studio as we talk about her suggested flick. We’re divided on believing that this is a “real” documentary, or another one of those shaky cam films. That divide makes this a fun episode since we have so many things to discuss.

The Intouchables – After he becomes a quadriplegic from a paragliding accident, an aristocrat hires a young man from the projects to be his caretaker.

Such a good movie. Beautifully shot, written, cast and directed. Really nothing bad to say about this film, it kept us both laughing and even tearing up a little as we learned about the close bond between our main characters, Philippe and Griss. Highly recommended.

FDR: American Badass! – A slapstick comedy that has the 32nd President of the United States riding a ‘wheelchair of death’ to stop the world from werewolves who carry the polio virus, including werewolf versions of Hitler, Mussolini, and Emperor Hirohito.

In the spirit of Airplane or any other slapstick style comedy, if you like that style, then this is a must see. Constant bad jokes with plenty of innuendo as we follow FDR and his struggle to rid the earth of pesky werewolves who are running most opposing countries. Pretty much non-stop silly laughter.

The Wadsworths might not seem too unusual to hear about them at first – consisting of the mother, two grown daughters and the diaper-clad, bottle-sucking baby. The problem is, the baby is twenty-one years old.

The bros have a good time chatting about this very strange movie that crosses quite a few boundaries as we learn about this man-child being kept underdeveloped by his mom and sisters, only to be snagged by a social worker with her own twisted agenda.

Like the description says, it’s about a deranged doctor who connects 3 people ass to mouth. You can’t un-see it, so just listen to us freak out about watching this flick, especially since Dawn went into it not knowing anything about the premise at all. For real, it’s gross.

The Man from Earth – An impromptu goodbye party for Professor John Oldman becomes a mysterious interrogation after the retiring scholar reveals to his colleagues he never ages and has walked the earth for 14,000 years.

Weyerbacher Old Heathen

An interesting movie that starts out pretty slow and never gets fast. It’s very b-movie-ish in it’s acting, but there’s an interesting dialog underneath it all. The description tells you it’s about a guy that’s a 14,000 year old caveman, but the parts that were most interesting were about all the people he’s met and been throughout all those years. There’s a few too many “right place, right time” scenarios, but it really gets you thinking about what you believe in or not. Not the best of movies, but recommended for the thought provoking point of views.

A must watch if you have any interest in skateboarding. We learn many history lessons as we watch current interviews and classic footage of some of the best skateboarders on the planet. We hear the story of how Stacey Perelta put together an all star team of no name skaters, Tony Hawk, Steve Cabellero, Mike McGill, Lance Mountain, Tommy Guerrero, and Rodney Mullen. The episode is full of great conversation since most of the information was new to JB, but very personal to Drew who was and still is a skateboarder from Southern California. Beer On Dudes!

A classic movie that keeps you laughing from beginning to end as we watch these two beer drinking brothers take on the Elsinore Brewery with a mouse in a bottle to try and get beer for their dad. Of course the story is a bit more complex then that, but that’s how we get to know and love these two hosers. So many lines from this movie have become a part of our vernacular.

Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye

One of JB’s favorites and a first time viewing for Drew. A very well put together, suspenseful action flick that keeps your attention the entire time. So many great actors together in one film help make this a really memorable film. I imagine you learn a little more each time you re-watch it since the storyline gets pretty thick at times, but when you get to the end, it really doesn’t even matter. Spoiler: Verbal is also Keyser Soze!

Our super socially anxious autistic main character turns the tables on his classmate bullies at the end of the movie in a way that makes you just hate them, and feel so good about our buddy Ben.
