Dawn and Drew: I’ve been listening to the shows backwards (not each show, like starting at the end and playing the thing backwards, although that might be interesting), but from the latest to earlier ones. I just got to 968. It left a bad feeling in my stomach. Two things:

Thing one: can you send me a snail mail address, ’cause I like to send you a cheque. I don’t want to use a credit card. My email address is johnnymaudlin@gmail.com

Thing two: violence of the kind you experienced could really cause bitterness and my sense, from listening, is that you two are very un-bitter souls. I hope that after the grief works it’s way through you will come to see the violent actions as having, in some way, nothing to do with you. You were there. Even as I write that it seems dumb and not useful, but you two are pretty intuitive and I think you understand. Anyhow, fuck the haters where ever they hide. Peace.

Dawn & Drew – Mostly Dawn though

I’ve been a huge Rasputina fan since the 90s, and have listened (quietly) to your shows for a while (though my friend who got me into it has been more involved).
I just wanted to say thank you to Dawn & the band for making it to NYC.
I wish the venue had let you guys play longer once you made it in. I had a weird mystery cough/sickness that weekend, and almost decided not to go to the show.
But I haven’t missed a Rasputina concert in NYC in a very long time, so we trekked cross town to the show.
Some other audience members left, and were annoyed, which was obnoxious.
I’m so happy you guys made it to NYC!

Hopefully next time there won’t be any freak snow storms in October, and I can buy you a Jamesons.
You know what goes well in tea – whisky.

It’s very coincidental but I happen to come across this news story about some folks abandoning their dogs in an apartment for 2 months with no food or water…the dog eventually jumped out the window:

Couple of interesting facts. There are enough homes for animals in shelters. What it takes for a shelter to become no kill is for a strong director to walk in and say “This is now a no kill shelter. Let’s get to work.”

Also missed u guys and was near tears from the “G” version. Can u imagine if I listened to the “R” version??? It breaks my heart to hear that good people such as urselves were violates that way.
